Awards

Asteria Bar 2006
Thanks to its originality and design excellence, Polydorou Design’s “Asteria” logotype recently won the “Best of Nation” Wolda ’08 Award.
Designed for Miramare Hotels in Limassol, it was among 193 winners selected from almost 1.100 excellent entries from 43 countries around the world. Three logos developed by Polydorou Design have been included in LogoLounge Volume 5, an international compilation of exceptional logos developed by professional designers. LogoLounge’s selection criteria include quality, timeliness, relevance and inspirational nature, with entries submitted from all over the world including major design studios from the USA, UK and Australia.

Kentriki Asphalistiki 2008
Designed for Kentriki Insurance Company, the revised logo is an expression of the company’s harmonious management and operation, which are always open to new impulses and market requirements.

Nobilor 2008
Nobilor, an upmarket gift shop in Larnaca, commissioned the naming of its retail outlet and the design of a corresponding new logo that emphasizes exclusivity and beauty.

The stylized gazelle was chosen as a symbol of elegance and grace, to match the selection of Nobilor's gift items which will appeal to the discerning extravagant buyer.

Eleonas Restaurant 2004
Eleonas is one of the in-house restaurants of the InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Resort Hotel, serving sophisticated Mediterranean cuisine in a stylish environment.

Eleonas is the Greek word for an olive grove. The olive tree is one of the oldest trees growing in Cyprus, while olives and their oil are an intrinsic part of the everyday Mediterranean diet.

Government - Document Archive Office 1994
The specialized logo designed for the Cyprus Government's Document Archive Office in 1994 was another public sector competition winner.

The linear design incorporates the dove, known as the key element of the Cyprus emblem, into the pages of an open book, which signifies public archives.

Millennium logo Lefkosia 2000
To mark the new millennium, the Municipality of Nicosia organized an open competition for the selection of a commemorative logo for the island's capital.
The core element of our winning logo was an artistic union of the dove, as a symbol of hope and peace, and the Municipality's official logo which is based on the design of the Venetian City Walls.

Commonwealth - Heads of Government Meeting 1993
Another competition for a commemorative logo was organized on the occasion of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, an extremely high-profile event held in Cyprus in 1993.

Polydorou Design was the islandwide winner, with this banner-style logo that combines the official logo of the Commomwealth with the dove of Cyprus, a national emblem.

Cyprus Fulbright Commission in Cyprus 1994
 The logo for the Cyprus Fulbright Commission partners the United States eagle and the dove of Cyprus in a symbiotic union that reflects the nature of the work undertaken by the Fulbright Commission and its close cooperation with other bodies in Cyprus.

Cyprus Copper and the Sea Expo In Seville 1992
 One of the first islandwide competitions which Polydorou Design participated in only one year after the company was established in Cyprus produced this winning result.

With its ground-breaking concept and design, Polydorou's  cover design set new standards for this type of publication in Cyprus, representing as it did Cyprus and the Cyprus pavilion at the World Expo in Seville in 1992.
